FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How are your prints made?
All prints are created from my original oil paintings and professionally produced using archival-quality materials for long-lasting color and clarity. I work with trusted fine art printers who specialize in museum-grade reproductions. Every piece is reviewed for accuracy and quality before shipping.
What’s the difference between paper prints and canvas prints?
All of my prints are made to order and created using archival-grade materials to ensure lasting color, clarity, and quality.
Paper Prints
I offer two beautiful paper types depending on the print:
1. Smooth Matte Paper
- Printed on archival-quality matte paper with a smooth, soft finish
- Acid-free for long-lasting color and quality
- Used for The Beyond The Tide Print Collection
- Sizing fits standard frame sizes — no custom framing needed
- Made to order: Processing time is 1–3 business days; please allow up to 1-2 weeks for shipping
2. Textured Cotton Paper
- Printed on luxurious, acid-free 100% cotton paper
- Features a soft, textured matte finish with a velvet-like feel
- Slight cropping to accommodate standard-size frames
- Used for both open and limited edition prints
- Made to order: Processing time is 1–3 business days; please allow 1–2 weeks for shipping
Canvas Prints
- Printed on canvas using archival-grade inks
- Stretched on 1.5-inch deep wooden stretcher bars with white edges
- Satin finish adds depth without too much shine
- Ready to hang — no frame needed
- Made to order: Processing time is 1–3 days; please allow 1–2 weeks for shipping
Canvas prints are the closest match to the original painting — perfect for those who want a ready-to-hang piece straight out of the box.
What’s the difference between open edition and limited edition prints?
Both types of prints are professionally made using archival materials and are created from my original oil paintings — but there are a few key differences:
Open Edition Prints
- Printed on luxurious, acid-free 100% cotton paper
- Embossed with my last name in the bottom right corner
- Includes a 1/4-inch white border for easy framing
- Not signed or numbered, and available in unlimited quantities
- Sizing is based on standard frame dimensions - no custom framing needed
These are perfect for easy framing using off-the-shelf frames from stores like Target, West Elm, or your local frame shop. I also offer framing for these prints!
Limited Edition Prints
Select pieces are offered as limited edition prints in small, signed, and numbered runs.
- Printed on luxurious, acid-free 100% cotton paper
- Signed and numbered by me in pencil
- Includes a 1-inch white border around the image for easy framing and signature placement
- Printed in small, collectible runs - once sold out, they're gone for good
- The size listed refers to the image size only - for framing, add 2 inches total to account for the border
-
Made to order: ships in 1-2 weeks

How do I frame my print?
Most of my open edition prints are sized to fit standard frames you can find online or in-store (Target, West Elm, etc.).
Limited edition prints include a 1-inch white border around the image for signing and numbering. The size listed is the printed image size — for framing, add 2 inches to account for the full paper size.
Need help choosing a frame or mat? I’m happy to offer advice, or you can choose from framed print options on select listings.
