The Record Breaker Great White Shark - Print
The Record Breaker Great White Shark - Print
On August 6, 1986, Captain Frank Mundus (the inspiration behind Quint in the 1975 film, Jaws) and angler Donald Braddick landed a 17-foot, 3,427 lb great white shark off Montauk aboard the Cricket II — the largest fish ever caught by rod and reel, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The story became the stuff of Montauk legend.
The Record Breaker is a tribute to that catch, that captain, and to Montauk's place in shark fishing history. Illustrated in a watercolor style in deep charcoal and white, it's bold, graphic, and quietly menacing. A perfect piece for anyone who knows the story, and a great conversation starter for anyone who doesn't.
Perfect for beach houses, fishing enthusiasts, Montauk locals, and anyone drawn to the wilder side of the ocean.
